Privacy Policy

PanelX arranges at-home and lab blood draws, sends your samples to CLIA-certified partner labs, and delivers your results to your PanelX account. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal or health information.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email, phone number, date of birth, sex and address.
- Booking details — the tests you choose, your draw date, time window and location, and any physician review you add.
- Household members — the name, date of birth, sex and (for adults) email of anyone you add to a visit.
- Health information — your test results, the answers you give before your draw (for example, whether you fasted), and your signature confirming them.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but never see or store your full card number.
- What you type into PanelX AI and chat — if you describe goals to get a panel suggestion, or message us in the website chat, we process and keep that text to answer you. Chat answers come first from an AI assistant; if you ask for a person, our team reads the conversation. Please don't share health details or results in chat.
- Technical information — cookies needed to keep you signed in, and basic logs our hosting providers keep for security.
How we use it
- To schedule and carry out your draw, route your phlebotomist, and send your sample to the lab.
- To deliver your results to your account and, if you chose it, to your reviewing physician.
- To take payment, send booking confirmations, reminders and preparation instructions.
- To provide support, keep our service secure, and meet legal and record-keeping requirements.
Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs:
- Your phlebotomist — your name, date of birth, address, phone, tests and preparation needs.
- Our partner labs — the information required to test your sample and report your results.
- Clinicians — any clinician who orders or reviews your tests, including a physician you choose for a review.
- Your clinic — if your draw was ordered through a clinic using PanelX, that clinic receives your results.
- Service providers — companies that host our website and database, process payments and send email, under agreements that limit their use of your information.
- When required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request or to report certain results to public health authorities.
Household visits
When you book for other people, adults (18 and over) receive their results only in their own PanelX account — the person who booked does not see them. Results for children are delivered to the account of the parent or guardian who booked.
How we protect it
Your information is encrypted in transit, stored with access controls so each person sees only what they are allowed to, and accessible to PanelX staff only when needed to provide the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and booking information while your account is open. Test results and draw records are kept for as long as laws on medical and laboratory records require, even if you close your account.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your results at any time in your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it (except records we must keep by law).
- Opt out of non-essential emails or texts at any time. We will still send messages needed for a booking you made.
- Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. We will not treat you differently for using them.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Children
Accounts are for adults. A child can be tested only when a parent or guardian books and consents for them.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and tell you by email or in your account.
